Special cable solutions up to +1,550°C
High-temperature cable – temperature-resistant and robust
In addition to high temperature-resistance, the special features of high-temperature lines are good mechanical strength and ageing resistance when used in harsh environments. HEW-KABEL differentiates two product groups for high-temperature lines.
1. For standard glass fibre lines, the application temperature is in the range from –50 °C to + 550 °C.
2. Additionally, HEW-KABEL offers special ceramic-based insulation and jacket materials. These materials permit constant temperature loads of + 800 °C or peak temperatures of + 1550 °C even under extreme conditions, such as when used in glass, steel and metallurgy.
To expand the possible range of applications, glass fibre has also proven reliable when combined with other materials with high resistance to thermal and mechanical loads, such as PTFE, FEP, Kapton*, silicone or mica. These combinations even allow it to be used in damp and humid environments at a high level of electrical strength.
We will happily provide you with a tried-and-tested solution and jointly develop a cable design that is optimally adjusted to your specific demands and requirements.
