1. For standard glass fibre lines, the application temperature is in the range from –50 °C to + 550 °C.
2. Additionally, HEW-KABEL offers special ceramic-based insulation and jacket materials. These materials permit constant temperature loads of + 800 °C or peak temperatures of + 1550 °C even under extreme conditions, such as when used in glass, steel and metallurgy.
To expand the possible range of applications, glass fibre has also proven reliable when combined with other materials with high resistance to thermal and mechanical loads, such as PTFE, FEP, Kapton*, silicone or mica. These combinations even allow it to be used in damp and humid environments at a high level of electrical strength.
