WIPPERFÜRTH, Germany / UPPLANDS VÄSBY, Sweden, October 17, 2022
On October 14, the acquisition of Habia Cable by HEW-KABEL Holding GmbH was completed, initiating a process of merging that will be carried out in stages over the coming months.
HEW-KABEL and Habia Cable will be merged into one company, combining the technical and commercial strengths of both companies to create a leading cable and connectivity group specialized in the global market.
Our companies both specialize in developing customized cable solutions for complex, challenging applications and harsh environments. Our complementary markets, capabilities and expertise offer a wide potential for future growth.
"We are confident that this fusion of our two companies - and the combined sum of our knowledge and resources - will result in a stronger, more international company with a wider technology portfolio that will open up new opportunities for our customers", said Peter Van Loo, CEO of HEW-KABEL.
"HEW-KABEL and Habia together will be more than the sum of their parts - a single company with a strong international presence better equipped to serve our customers around the world", adds Carl Modigh, CEO of Habia Group. "We look forward to having this added strength with us as we continue to discover better connections for a smarter future - together."
The necessary work is now being carried out to align and merge the two companies. We will communicate directly with all customers, partners and suppliers before the changes take effect. In the meantime, both companies will continue their business operations as usual.
